Environment Day special: E-waste in detail

Hello friends,

Today's date is 5th june 2018 on this day we are celebrating World Environment Day  at this moment i am going to discuss about E waste and also i am going talk about how to reduce or control E-waste.

At earlier time the problem of E-waste is not that much because at that time the upgrade in technology are not frequently people buy electronic gadgets and use it for atleast 2-3 years but the current scenario is total different from earlier time because now a days technology is upgrading rapidly and also the price of electronic gadgets also decreases due to this people start upgrading thier electronic gadgets in every 1-2 year. Due to this E- waste problem arises.

👉What is E-waste?

>         E-waste or electronic waste decribe as discarded electronic appliances such as computer, laptops, mobile phones etc. E-waste is created when electronic product are discarded after end of its useful life.

India has emerged as a fifth largest E-waste producer in the world. Maharashtra (19.8%) tops in the list of Electronic waste producer followed by Tamil Naidu (13%), Uttar Pradesh (10.1%), west bengal (9.8%) and Delhi (9.5%) .

👉 Steps to reduce E-waste:

>Reduce:

Avoid purchasing product which are little important in your daily life. For eg: if you have a smartphone and its upgraded version launch after 6 months there is no need of buying that smartphone because you have recently purchased new smartphone. It will save your money and also save environment.

> Reuse:

You can use waste electronic and make new and intresting useful thing this will reduce waste of electronics

> Recycle:

Scraps that are usually buried can be directed to reprocessing centers for conversion into raw materials that can help to conserve finite natura resources

Now a days there are many machines are availabe where you will get award on recycling of E waste.

>Return:

When you bored with old gadgets don't throw it instead of that return to its manufacturers. Companies like Nokia, Apple, Xiaomi are few such brands they ensure their old product are returned after a usage of cycle. If there is no recycling available you can donate or sell your gadgets online or offline platforms.

According to study on 'Electrical and Electronic Manufacturing in India' conducted by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)-NEC joint study on 'World Environment Day', the global volume of e waste is expected to reach 52.2 million tons by 2021.

Some companies uses various techniques which is different from above techniques they buried electronic gadgets and remove useful metals, like Gold, silver, copper etc and they landfill remaining waste after removing raw material, but this is not a correct way because there harmful chemicals are used in elecronic gadgets which contaminate the ground water and also harm environment.
Follow above steps to reduce E-waste and save our Environment
