Realme U1: Specs, Price, Availability and more

 

     On 28th November 2018 Oppo sub brand Realme launches its another smartphone Realme U1. It is first smartphone which comes with Mediatek latest processor that is Mediatek Helio P70. Its benchmark score is higher than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 and Hisilicon kirin 710 SoC. Before getting into more let's take quick look on Realme U1 specifications.

👉Availability:

     Realme U1 available in three colour variats that are ambitious Black, Brave Blue and Fiery Gold. This smartphone is sold via Amazon india and its official website from 5th December 2018.

👉Physical Overview:

     Real me U1 comes with poly carbonate back with glass finish design.

     At the top of the device it has secondary mic for noise cancellation and at the right side of the device it has button for power on and power off a device.

     At the left hand side it has volume up and down button along with card slot which are in "Sim 1 + Sim 2 + Sd card" configuration.

      At the bottom of the device it has speaker, Micro USB port and 3.5 mm Audio jack.

     It has Dual rear camera along with Led flash and at the front of the device it has 6.3 inches screen with water drop notch.

👉My Opinion:

     I think this device is great in its price segment but it is not a upgrade if we look at overall specs. Real me U1 is same as Real me 2 Pro in terms of specifications. The major change is Soc and front facing camera or we can say selfie camera.

     Here Realme U1 comes with Mediatek latest processor that is Mediatek Helio P70 which has better performance if we compare with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 and Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor.Mediatek Helio P70 is based on 12nm technology it means it gives high performance along with better battery efficiency.

     The another major change in Realme U1 is here it has 25 mp selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Realme U1 is downgrade in terms of rear camera if we compare with previous smartphone Realme 2 pro. Here, Realme U1 has (13 mp + 2 mp) rear camera whereas in Realme 2 pro we get (16 mp + 2 mp) rear camera.

     If you are Realme 2 pro user then there is no need to upgrade but if you are fresh buyer then you can go with this device. Overall this is balanced device at pricing and specifications point of view.
